Blackpool vs Bolton Match Preview
Bolton have struggled for points lately and travel to Blackpool for their Matchday 26 clash on Tuesday with four straight losses behind them, sitting rock-bottomed with 11 points to their name and a huge 20-point gap to AFC Wimbledon. They’ve seen a narrow 1-0 loss at MK Dons on Saturday and Keith Hill will be desperate to find a cure for their goalscoring woes.
Wanderers have seen a tough schedule beforehand and failed to earn any points against Coventry (2-1), Doncaster (2-1), and Wycombe (0-2). The woes on the road go along way and just one win in 17 away games across competitions hardly looks like more of a boost to their confidence.
Blackpool will hope to capitalize on such woes but they’ve seen trouble of their own. They’ve seen a goalless draw at Wimbledon over the weekend, which ended a streak of two losses (2-3 to Gillingham and 2-1 at Bristol Rovers), and David Dunn’s men will need to show more.
Seasiders earned just five points in 11 league games since mid-December but still sit clear of the relegation zone, which will have them desperate to build towards the mid-table here. They have been tougher to beat at home ground and we do feel they can show it off once again on Tuesday evening.
We thus hope Blackpool can turn a narrow contest their way here and we’ll go for a Home win to Nil, which comes at 14/5 with BetVictor. We’ve seen Wanderers struggling to find the net on the road and this could prove costly once again.
We don’t really see this as a very one-sided contest in the making, though, and we now rather hope for few goals. We’ll go for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 4/5 with William Hill, which has caught the eye of many big hitters already.
