Blackburn vs Stoke Match Preview
Blackburn have lost back-to-back games now going down 2-1 away to Aston Villa last weekend. The result means they have taken just four points from their last ten and a promising season has fizzled out. They still have no relegation concerns as they sit 16thand 11 points above the bottom three.
At Ewood Park, Rovers did win their last fixture beating Wigan 3-0 but before that lost three matches in a row 1-0. None of the last six Championship fixtures at this ground have seen both teams find the back of the net. Danny Graham has netted three from his last six appearances here.
Stoke are not a team to excite the neutrals at the moment with each of their last four ending in a goalless draw. They sit in 15thplace and Nathan Jones will be looking to establish what he needs to do for next season. Five successive clean sheets show the Potters are progressing but they also need to find a solution to their goalscoring woes.
Away from the BET365 Stadium, the Potters are without a victory in the last 12 though nine of these have finished all-square. These last five matches on the road have produced a combined total of four goals. Just one of their four remaining road matches comes against a team in the top-half of the table which is Middlesbrough.
Bookmakers are struggling to split the pair and it is hard to argue with that logic as they sit next to each other in the table. Rovers are at home but it is Stoke who are showing the better form. Of the three options the draw appeals most but I think better value can be found in one of the other markets.
No side in the Championship has been level going into the break at their own ground more than Rovers who have done this 12 times this season and with the visitors being so tough to break down backing a half-time draw and 0-0 in the half-time correct score market appeals.
