Blackburn slumped to their fifth defeat in their last six going down 3-2 away at Rotherham to stretch their winless run to six. A strong start to the season sees them 11 points above the drop zone and while relegation should not be an issue they would still like a few more victories to be certain.

At Ewood Park, Rovers have lost their last two but both came against top six sides and before that they won three straight. None of their last four in front of their own fans have seen both teams net.

Preston drew 1-1 with Bristol City last time out to make it two draws from their last three and nine without defeat. They now find themselves six points off the play-off spots with 11 matches remaining.

Away from Deepdale, North-End have won each of their last four and have lost just two of the last 11. They have combined for an impressive 11 goals in total from their last four on the road.

Given the recent struggles of Blackburn and the good road form for Preston I think taking the visiting team to come out on top looks the bet. These victories came at sides like QPR, Millwall and Stoke teams around the same points level as Rovers.
