Birmingham vs QPR Match Preview
Birmingham picked up all three points at the weekend as they edged a five-goal clash with Reading coming out on top 3-2 at the Madejski Stadium. It stretches their unbeaten run to four matches three of which finished all-square.
At St Andrew’s, the Blues drew 1-1 with Millwall in their last fixture here which came on November 30th with a late Jake Clarke-Salter strike helping them to the point. Although they are winless in two here they have lost just twice in front of their fans this season.
QPR picked up all three points on Saturday with a well deserved and comfortable 2-0 victory over Preston North End. It put to an end a seven-game winless run for the London outfit who will still harbour hopes of a play-off finish.
Away from Loftus Road, the Rs last played on November 30th where they visited Pride Park and battled out a 1-1 draw. It means they are now three without a victory on the road and have drawn just one of their last five.
It is hard to argue with the prices on offer here which make Birmingham favourites as the home team but suggest little to choose between the sides at a neutral venue. A remarkable 78% of the Blues home games have seen more goals in the second-half so backing this to be the highest-scoring 45 minutes makes sense as does taking a little interest on both teams to score after the break.
