Birmingham City v Bolton Wanderers Match Prediction
Birmingham stretched their unbeaten run to three as they were involved in a cracker with QPR that saw them four up and need their opponents to miss a penalty to win 4-3. Che Adams got a hat-trick that day and he has eight from his last six in the league.
At St Andrew’s, the Midlands outfit have lost just twice this season through these have come from their last five. They have conceded just two goals from their last six at their own place keeping clean sheets in four of these.
Bolton lost their fifth in last six last time out as they suffered a 2-1 home loss to Preston to stay rooted in the bottom three. They are three points from safety and each of their next four comes against a team in the top 14.
Away from the Macron, the Lancashire side have lost six straight and are without a win in the league since August 18th. They netted five goals from their opening three road fixtures and five from the next 12.
Birmingham are strong favourites to win this fixture and given the respective home and away form of both sides it is hard to argue with this. That being said the hosts are too short to be backing so look to find the value elsewhere.
The Blues have been quick out of the block in recent weeks and I think they can get an early goal here to be ahead at half-time. This also brings in the double result so back them to be in the lead at the interval and again at full-time.
