Belarus vs Germany Match Preview
Germany have snatched a thriller 2-3 win in Netherlands with a last-minute goal from Nico Schulz, where they arguably put on an underwhelming display in the first half but still managed to end a streak of two draws in a row at an important point of their campaign.
Die Mannschaft have been scoring goals on the regular but Joachim Low will be more worried about their defensive tally, where they conceded at least a goal in 16 of their last 19 outings across competitions. They will now want a more confident display as they travel to Bulgaria but we don’t feel this will prove a very one-sided contest either.
Belarus come into the match after opening the new campaign with losses in Netherlands (4-0) and Northern Ireland (2-1), outclassed by Oranje and putting on a much better challenge in Belfast – still dropping points as they conceded a very late winner orchestrated by Patrick McNair and converted by Josh Magennis.
White Wings have been a tougher side to beat at home ground and they haven’t seen a loss in four outings here, as they capitalized on the more lenient schedule through Nations League and made their way to League C. However, coping with Germany will prove a much more of a task for Igor Kriushenko’s men.
We will thus back Germany to snatch the points but we still expect a great contest, as we stick our necks out for an Away win and a Yes on Both teams to score at 2/1 with bet365 – which seems great value seeing the visitors’ defensive records of recent.
With that in mind, we’re also going for goals and Over 3.5 Goals FT at 6/4 with William Hill, hoping to still see a comfortable win for Die Mannschaft. We’ll surely see them very motivated to top the table and they should have what it takes for such a quest.
