Barrow vs Wrexham Match Preview
National League leaders Barrow hope to hold onto their position at the top this weekend when they face Wrexham. The home side didn’t start the season too well but since then they have been excellent. They lost six of their first nine games but have lost just three of the last 28, showing what kind of turnaround they have had. They are four points clear at the top so regardless of what happens this weekend they will remain there, but what they would love to do is extend their lead over second placed Harrogate.
Wrexham are not having a good season, and right now they are just keeping their heads above water. They are two places and two points above the relegation zone, things are tight down at the bottom and there is every chance of them getting dragged into the drop zone. Unfortunately in their last five games, Wrexham have won just once and on top of that, they have been kept off the score sheet in three of those five games. If they want to stay up this season, wins are needed and while they face an incredibly tough challenge here, they have to try and get something done.
We don’t think they will, and our main bet on this game is on Barrow to win it to nil. This means not only winning, but also keeping a clean sheet. Wrexham have been kept off the score sheet for three out of their last five games, we think they will be again here. For our second bet on the game we are backing under 2.5 goals. We expect Barrow to nick this, but it will be tight.
