Barnsley are hoping to secure promotion to the Championship this season. The club’s ambitious owners moved to follow in the footsteps of clubs like Huddersfield Town and Norwich City in the summer by bringing in a German head coach and like David Wagner and Daniel Farke before him, Daniel Stendel is enjoying a degree of success so far with his side sitting in second place in the table ahead of this tie, six points behind leaders Luton Town with a game in hand.

Recent form has been as strong as you would expect for one of the most talented squads in the league and a 1-4 thumping of Gillingham away from home last weekend extended their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions. In fact, the last team to beat the Tykes in the league was Wycombe back in December. We suspect that Stendel’s men will be keen to continue their fine run and exact revenge in this fixture by winning at odds of 1/2 with Betway.

Wycombe Wanderers make the trip to Barnsley looking comfortable in the top half of the table ahead of this weekend’s fixtures. We’re anticipating a rather simple victory for the Tykes in this game. The Yorkshire outfit have been racking up the goals of late, with this six game unbeaten streak seeing them win no fewer than four games by more than one goal and with Cauley Woodrow and Alex Mowatt in the side they’re always a threat in front of goal.
