Barcelona vs Valencia Match Preview
Barcelona host Valencia for their Matchday 22 La Liga clash just days after doing the same for Sevilla in Copa del Rey, where they look to make up for the 2-0 loss suffered at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan – where Ernesto Valverde took risks and they proved costly.
Blaugrana have since bounced back to the winning ways and beat Girona (0-2) over the weekend, which should have them very motivated to keep up a streak where they earned four wins in five outings across competitions. They have somewhat lost on their consistency at the back, though, and this could be more worrying for the Spanish pace-setters.
Valencia have turned a thrilling contest their way midway through the week as they beat Getafe (3-1) as Rodrigo completed a hat-trick with two very late goals. They’ve connected their fourth win in five outings too and Marcelino’s men will be just as confident in search of an upset here.
Los Che have rediscovered their form in the final third and with that in mind, we expect a strong challenge at Camp Nou despite not really believing the visitors can snatch important points. We should consequently be in for an exciting contest and we will act on the presumption.
We will back Barcelona to secure the points but not without outgunning the rivals to it, as we stick with a Home win and a Yes on Both teams to score at 7/5 with Coral. We expect goals but Blaugrana should still have what it takes to build on the top spot here.
With that in mind, we’ve seen Rodrigo impress lately and he should be the visitors’ striking needle once again – as we back him to score anytime and add to his tally of five goals in the last four outings at an enticing 3/1 with Black Type.
