Barcelona vs Valencia Match Preview
Barcelona have seen quite an unpredictable spell of form early in the new campaign and the tough schedule continues as they host Valencia for their Matchday 4 clash, most probably still without Messi, Suarez, or Dembele in the ranks. They’ve bagged just four points in three outings and picking it up will be a crucial task for Ernesto Valverde’s men.
Blaugrana had more troubles impressing on the road and suffered a 1-0 loss at Athletic Bilbao on the opening day of the campaign, while Osasuna held them to a 2-2 draw more recently. Antoine Griezmann showed off as they beat Real Betis (5-2) at Camp Nou along the way and they will now want a similar quest, despite a stronger challenge looming.
Valencia come into the match on the back of a 2-0 win over Mallorca, where Dani Parejo converted two penalty kicks to mark a return to the winning ways after two games without one. They’ll now hope to have used the break to a good cause and build on the performance in Barcelona too.
Los Che have been a tough rival in recent head-to-head clashes and they haven’t seen a loss to Barcelona in any of the last three occasions, including two La Liga draws and a Copa del Rey Final win (1-2) in late May. They will now surely be very motivated to make this another thriller and we do hope for such a contest.
Still, we feel Barcelona will have what it takes to secure the points and we’re now going for a Home win and Over 2.5 Goals FT, which combines to an enticing 21/20 with Coral and catches the eye of many in the know already.
We do feel we’re in for a narrow occasion and we do see the visitors making it on the scoresheet as well. With Barcelona’s struggles to keep it together at the back, going for a Yes on Both teams to score feels like a generous banker bet at 4/6 with Ladbrokes.
