Barcelona have been denied a chance to keep hold of the top spot in Saturday’s El Clasico, which was postponed for security reasons, and they now host Real Valladolid sitting a point behind pace-setters Granada with a game in hand. They’ve been in fine form across competitions and will now hope to build on it, despite a strong challenge expected.

Indeed, Blaugrana have earned six consecutive wins across competitions in just over a month, where they beat Villarreal (2-1), Getafe (0-2), Sevilla (4-0), Eibar (0-3) in La Liga and built on it with Champions League wins over Inter Milan (2-1) and Slavia Prague (1-2) most recently.

Real Valladolid have connected a five-match unbeaten streak of their own, where they beat Espanyol (0-2) and Eibar (2-0) but also held off Granada (1-1), Atletico Madrid (0-0), and Athletic Bilbao (1-1). They will now want to put on another solid challenge here and we expect them very motivated to catch up with the top 6.

Pucela have been tough to score against on the road too and they’ve conceded seven goals in six away games this term despite an unpredictable run where Sergio’s men earned two wins, two draws, and saw two losses. They will now hope to show it off once again but we don’t see them snatching any points for it.
