Atletico Madrid host Girona for the return match of their Copa del Rey clash on the back of a 1-1 draw at Estadi Municipal de Montilivi, where Antoine Griezmann netted an early opener but Antony Lozano levelled the score and kept Gironistes’ hopes of making it through to the Quarter-finals alive.

Atleti have beaten Levante (1-0) over the weekend, though, and lifted their team spirits with their fifth home win in a row. Diego Simeone will now want his men to take the positives and doing so ahead of the important Cup fixture will be a crucial task.

Girona have proven themselves a very tough nut to crack lately and we’ve seen them hold on to four draws in four outings since mid-December, sharing the spoils with Getafe (1-1), Levante (2-2), and Deportivo Alaves (1-1) along the way.

Eusebio Sacristan’s men have struggled to score goals regularly away from home and this could be more worrying, failing to find the net in losses at Athletic Bilbao (1-0) and Sevilla (2-0) since early December. Atleti will now want to capitalize on such woes too and it’s hard seeing them denied at this point.

We’ll back Atletico Madrid to secure a ticket to the Quarter-finals and do so with confidence at the back once again, sticking with a Home win to Nil at 21/20 with BetVictor– which would be the sixth such occasion at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in a row.
