Athletic Bilbao vs Real Betis Match Preview
Betis travel to Bilbao for their Matchday 21 clash on Sunday afternoon, just days after snatching a 1-1 Copa del Rey at Espanyol with a late equalizer from Sanabria – which left a lot to play for in the second leg at Estadio Benito Villamarin next week.
Beticos have thus built on a great 3-2 win over Girona and will now want to build on such consistency in the final third, looking to capitalize on the rivals’ struggles in an upset at San Mames Barria. However, they’ve had their share of woes on the road and it might prove a tough task.
Athletic Bilbao have seen a Copa del Rey exit to Sevilla but only after snatching a 0-1 win at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, building on such a performance in a 1-1 draw at Villarreal more recently. They will now want to escape the danger zone and we expect a very motivated outfit on Sunday.
Los Leones have thus proven themselves a tough side to beat as they connect a three-match unbeaten streak and Gaizka Garitano will want more of the same. Nine points earned in five home outings despite a tough schedule will have the crowd in Bilbao hopeful ahead of the Sunday’s contest too.
However, we’ll now stick our necks out for shared spoils on the day and back a Draw at 12/5 with BetVictor, which feels like more than a lively longshot and the best way to go about the market at this point.
Both sides have been scoring goals on the regular and we hope to see them moving forward with pace once again in search of important points, going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with William Hill.
