Atalanta vs Udinese Match Preview

Atalanta host Udinese for their Matchday 34 clash on Monday evening looking to build on two important wins over the past seven days, where they snatched all three points at Napoli (1-2) and beat Fiorentina (2-1) to make it into the Coppa Italia Final.

La Dea have been scoring numbers of goals on the regular and they now sit just outside the top 4, sitting behind AC Milan only for their head-to-head records with Roma, Torino, and Lazio all joining the race. They have no easy schedule late in the campaign and Gianpiero Gasperini will want to garner the high team spirits now.

Udinese have proven themselves a tough side to outgun but still saw narrow losses at both Roma (1-0) and Lazio (2-0) prior to their 1-1 home draw against Sassuolo last week – where Pol Lirola’s late own goal secured a point for them. They will now want a similar challenge but snatching points at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia should prove a very tough task.

Zebrette still sit four points clear of the relegation zone and 18th placed Empoli, which will have them desperate for points to build on the gap. They’ve had a very tough schedule on the road over the past couple of months and while it could prove more of the same, we’ll surely see a side motivated to end a dreadful streak.
