Atalanta vs AC Milan Match Preview
AC Milan travel to Bergamo for their Matchday 24 derby clash on Saturday in a great mood after a dominant display against Cagliari (3-0) extended their five-match unbeaten streak despite a very tough schedule seen beforehand.
Rossoneri have knocked Napoli (2-0) out of Coppa Italia and snatched important points in Serie A draws against Partenopei (0-0 at Giuseppe Meazza) and Roma (1-1 in Rome) in three outings beforehand. Gennaro Gattuso should thus have no troubles motivating his men despite another very tough challenge looming.
Indeed, Atalanta have been furious in front of the home fans and we’ve seen them beat Lazio (1-0), Juventus (3-0 in Coppa Italia), and SPAL (2-1) since mid-December, only with thriller draws against Juve (2-2 in Serie A) and Roma (3-3) seen along the way. Gianpiero Gasperini will now want more of the same in their pursuit of a top 4 spot and we expect nothing short of a thrilling contest at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
La Dea have thus been conceding goals on the regular but the attacking line led by Duvan Zapata produced enough for them to bag six wins and a draw in last seven outings across competitions. They’ve netted a high total of ten goals in last four outings and it’s now hard to see Milan shut them down either.
With that in mind, we’re going for Atalanta to bag all three points and going for a Home win feels like value at 21/20 with Unibet. They’ve been nothing short of great despite a tough schedule in Bergamo and we feel they can keep it going at this point, snatching a top 4 spot after 24 games played.
However, Milan should not fall victims easily and we expect them in a great mood as well, primarily led by in-form Krzysztof Piatek up front. We’ll thus also go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 7/10 with Ladbrokes – which could as well prove the best approach to the fixture at this point.
