Atalanta host Empoli for their Matchday 32 clash on Monday evening looking to build on a seven-match unbeaten streak across competitions, including a tough display and a goalless draw at Inter Milan last week.
La Dea bagged wins over Fiorentina (3-1) and Bologna (4-1) at home ground along the way and were only held to a more underwhelming 1-1 draw by Chievo along the way, regularly conceding goals but also outgunning the rivals as they chase the top 4 spot towards late in the campaign.
Empoli have a lot to play for as they sit in the relegation zone after 31 games played, two points behind 17th placed Bologna and four behind 16th placed SPAL. They’ve largely picked it up at home ground and started scoring numbers of goals there, but still struggled to show off on the road.
Indeed, Azzurri saw nothing but losses away from home since early February, where they saw Lazio (1-0), Milan (3-0), Roma (2-1), Juventus (1-0), and Udinese (3-2) all bag the points despite very tough challenges on some of the occasions. We now expect another tough challenge but still don’t see them snatching points at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
We will thus back Atalanta to secure the points in another exciting contest in Bergamo, as we go for a Home win and Over 2.5 Goals FT – which comes at 8/11 with Paddy Power and looks a great approach to the fixture.
