Aston Villa qualified for the end of season play-offs by finishing in fifth spot in the Championship with 76 points. They ended the season in great form with ten victories, two draws and just one defeat from their last 13 fixtures. Villa will be looking to go one better than last season when they were beaten in the final by Fulham.

At Villa Park, the Midlands outfit have won five of their last six and have lost just two of their last nine with this defeat coming against West Brom. Games at this ground do feature goals with 13 of their last 15 going over 2.5 and eight of these going over 3.5. Three of the last four at this ground have seen both teams net.

West Brom ended the season in good form with three victories, one draw and one defeat in their last five with that defeat coming on the final day at Derby. They finished in fourth place one point and four points above their opponents here. They will be aiming to bounce back to the top flight at the first attempt following relegation in the 2017-18 campaign.

Away from the Hawthorns, the Baggies are struggling having lost three of their last four and winning just one of their last six. In none of their last six on the road have Albion found the back of the net in the first-half. The Black Country unit are shifting goals on the road having conceded 14 times from their last seven away fixtures.

Despite the Baggies having won here a few months ago I can see why Aston Villa are the price they are given their strong home form and the visitors road woes of late. It is hard to put anyone off backing Villa to win the fixture but we think better value can be had elsewhere.

In four of the last six on the road Albion have been behind going into the break while the hosts have been ahead in five of their last six at their own place so backing the home team to be ahead at half-time looks a good call.

Though not a prolific scorer Jack Grealish is the class act on the pitch and he will be influential here. We expect the player to shine in the spotlight and take him to get among the goals with first scorer an option but anytime proving enough for us here.
