Aston Villa drew last time out (their third in their last five) with a 1-1 result at Stoke thanks to an Albert Adomah goal. They are eight points off the play-offs and really need to win here to keep alive their slim hopes.

At Villa Park, the Midlands outfit have won just one of their last eight which came against Ipswich. They have drawn five of these eight matches with all of these five ending in score draws.

Derby lost 1-0 to local rivals Nottingham Forest on Monday night to make it back-to-back league defeats. The Rams have dropped outside the top six and are two points behind Bristol City in sixth.

Away from Pride Park, the Rams are winless in their last four and have lost two of these and drawn in the other two. A lack of road goals is proving to be a huge issue with them netting just once in their last four.

Aston Villa are the favourites to win though given the way both sides are playing it is hard to back either with any confidence. Of the three options the draw might be the most appealing but I will look elsewhere for the value.
