Aston Villa are still in touch with the play-off places but they are drawing too many with four of their last six finishing all-square. The Midlands side are about to embark on a tricky run with seven of their next nine against teams in the current top 12.

Villa Park has been something of a fortress this season with the second city outfit only losing twice here in the league with both defeats coming to Yorkshire sides (Wednesday and Leeds). Fans at this game should be in for a treat as the last seven league matches here have seen both teams net and gone over 2.5 goals.

Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last two and have lost just one of their last eight as they stay in the hunt for an automatic promotion slot. United have two in-form scorers as Billy Sharp has three in his last three while David McGoldrick has six in nine.

On the road, the Blades are without a win in two through have lost just one of their previous seven Championship road trips. 18 of the last 30 that they have played away from Bramall Lane have been level going into the break.
