Arsenal’s only remaining chance of silverware this season is in the Europa League. The Gunners still find themselves embroiled in a race for a top four finish in the Premier League but won’t be able to chase down either Liverpool or Manchester City in the top two spots and they’ve been knocked out of the two domestic cup competitions on their own patch by two of their biggest rivals in Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Unai Emery has certainly made improvements to this Arsenal team since taking over from Arsene Wenger last summer but the same issues are still plaguing the side, particularly on the road where they have failed to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League all season. In front of their own fans though, the Londoners have been in better form of late, winning their last seven consecutive matches in all competitions. They’re available at 11/8 with Bet365.

Napoli are in the familiar position of failing to close the gap between themselves and Juventus at the top of the Serie A table. Whilst Bianconeri have strengthened their grip on the Scudetto and look set to win the title once again this season with a 20 point gap over second-placed Partenopei, it does seem that the Naples based outfit are set to secure a top 3 finish for the fifth consecutive season as they currently occupy the runners up spot.

Despite losing only once in the group stages of the Champions League, Carlo Ancelotti’s men couldn’t progress beyond Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, finishing third in the group and entering the Europa League instead. Wins over FC Zurich and Red Bull Salzburg have been enough to set up this quarter final tie with Premier League outfit Arsenal and you can back them to win out in the first leg at 19/10 with William Hill.

We’re backing a share of the spoils in this game. Although Arsenal have been better at home of late, they’ve struggled in the first leg of their knock-out games in this competition so far this season, losing to both BATE Borisov and Stade Rennais in the last two rounds. Napoli will provide tougher opposition too and will be difficult to overcome so we’re backing a first leg draw at odds of 12/5 with PaddyPower leaving the tie wide open ahead of the return at Stadio San Paolo.

We can’t not back goals in this game though. With Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in their ranks, the Gunners are always going to be a threat in front of goal but they may meet their match here against a Napoli frontline that boasts Dries Mertens and Arkadiusz Milik among others.
