Arsenal have dropped six points behind the Premier League top 4 with a 1-0 loss at West Ham and they now host 4th placed Chelsea for their Matchday 23 clash looking to bounce back quickly – surely finding this the best opportunity to close the gap they can get.
Gunners have been confident at Emirates and we’ve seen them outclass both Burnley (3-1) and Fulham (4-1) in their last two outings here, despite conceding goals in two high-scoring clashes. Unai Emery will now want more of the same although the visitors should prove more challenging, hoping his men use the opportunity to prove what they’re made of.
Chelsea have, on the other hand, struggled to connect positive results lately but it does feel they’re in a better place at this point. They come into the match on the back of a narrow 2-1 win over Newcastle and we should see them just as motivated to build on it on Saturday afternoon.
Blues have struggled to score numbers of goals on the regular, though, and this could be more worrying ahead of the clash against fierce rivals. They’ve seen Southampton snatch a point in a goalless draw at home ground and the 1-0 League Cup loss at Tottenham sets up another tough task next week amid a very busy schedule.
We now hope to see Arsenal capitalizing on such circumstances and bagging all three points on the day, as we stick with a Home win at 2/1 with Betfair which would see them close the gap to just three points once again.
