Angers vs St Etienne Match Preview
St Etienne have secured the 4th spot and now travel to Angers on the Final day of the campaign with no high stakes involved, still coming into the match in great shape and surely looking to end the campaign on a high – after bagging seven wins in nine outings since mid-March.
Les Verts have been scoring numbers of goals along the way and only failed to produce in the final third in a 0-1 home loss to Montpellier along the way, finding the net 12 times in their last four games on the road. Jean-Louis Gasset will want more of the same and we thus expect an exciting contest at Stade Raymond-Kopa.
Angers come into the match with two losses behind them, where PSG edged past them in a 1-2 win at this ground and Lille bagged a far more convincing win (5-0) on the road last week. They will now want to bounce back despite no chances to drop further down the table on Friday.
Les Scoistes have been very tough to beat at this ground and Parisians only ended a seven-match unbeaten streak, as they beat Nantes (1-0), Dijon (1-0), Nice (3-0) and held to draws Monaco (2-2), Amiens (0-0), Rennes (3-3), and Reims (1-1) more recently.
We now hope to see Angers motivated to bounce back to such a streak and we’ll back them to secure at least a point as we go for a Double Chance – Home win or Draw at 11/20 with bet365 – which seems like buying money for old rope.
Indeed, neither of the sides have high stakes involved but we still hope to see goals and an exciting contest as a result, where we also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 8/13 with William Hill as a similar banker bet and possibly the best way to go about the fixture.
