Angers vs Monaco Match Preview
Monaco travel to Angers for their Matchday 27 clash in a great mood after rediscovering their team spirits in a streak where they bagged ten points in four outings and escaped the relegation zone. They now hope to build on the streak and towards the mid-table with important points at Stade Raymond-Kopa.
Les Monegasques have beaten Lyon (2-0) with early goals from Gelson Martins and Rony Lopes and connected their third home win in a row, after also beating Toulouse (2-1) and Nantes (1-0) as well as holding Montpellier to a thriller 2-2 draw on the road along the way.
Angers will still hope to capitalize on the rivals’ struggles to turn clashes their way away from home, now looking to bounce back from a narrow yet disappointing 1-0 loss at Guingamp – who ended their four-match unbeaten streak at Stade du Roudourou with a last-gasp winner from Lucas Deaux.
Les Scoistes have beaten Nantes (1-0), Dijon (1-0) and Nice (3-0) in three home outings since late January, proving themselves a very tough nut to crack here. However, they could be in for more of a challenge now and it’s questionable Stephane Moulin can find a quick fix.
We will now stick our necks out for Monaco to snatch all three points and go for an Away win at 6/5 with Paddy Power, which seems great value seeing Leonardo Jardim’s men rediscovered their fine form and come desperate for points.
However, snatching them in Angers should prove no easy task either and we now hope to see goals on both ends as we go for a high-scoring contest, where Over 2.5 Goals FT comes at 11/10 with William Hill and catches the eye of many in the know already.
