Amiens vs PSG Match Preview
PSG travel to Amiens for their Matchday 25 clash on Saturday afternoon, just days after their mid-week Coupe de France trip to Dijon, and hope to build on a great winning streak despite a busy schedule. They’ve been furious across competitions lately and Thomas Tuchel will want to build on such records at Credit Agricole de la Licorne Stadium as well.
Parisians beat Lyon (4-2) in a six-goal thriller in front of the home fans last week and two goals conceded early in the second half will hardly matter, despite failing to build on rock-solid defensive performances seen through January and early in February. They will want to rediscover such stability at the back here and we do feel the visitors will be very tough to score against.
Amiens have been far from impressive up front too, having ended a streak of two games without a goal as they suffered a home loss to Monaco (1-2) last week. Sehrou Guirassy’s early opener seemed to have done the job but they conceded two late goals and failed to close the gap to an escape from the relegation zone.
Unicorns held off Toulouse (0-0) and Lyon (0-0) beforehand and will now hope for another upset in front of the home fans. However, the task will be tougher now and we can say very few fans can see them earning their first league win since early November on the day.
We thus hope to see the visitors snatch the points with confidence and we’ll back PSG to win to Nil, which comes at an eye-catching 6/4 with William Hill and looks like great value seeing Amiens’ struggles to score goals lately.
We have seen Parisians scoring first-half goals and getting in front on the regular, which has us going for another such occasion here. With that in mind, going for PSG to score in both halves feels like a solid approach to the fixture as well, coming at 4/5 with William Hill!
