AIK vs Hammarby Match Preview
AIK drew 1-1 at GIF Sundsvall last time out and while it put to an end a four-game winning run it means they are now unbeaten in five. AIK have been strong at the back this season and along with Malmo have the top-ranked defence in Allsvenskan. Tarik Elyounoussi is in a rich vein of form with six goals from his last four.
At the Friends Arena, they have won each of their last four and are unbeaten in five played here in the league in 2019. They have kept a clean sheet against three of five visitors here and conceded just two goals in total in front of their own fans. Elyounoussi has three in two here while Daniel Sundgren has two from his three appearances.
Hammarby drew 2-2 at home to Norrkoping last time out to made it back-to-back games that have finished all-square and six without defeat. They are a strong attacking outfit and have netted 20 goals which is the joint-second highest. They are lead by Muamer Tankovic who has six for the campaign while Vidhar Kjartansson has five and Nikola Durdic has four.
Away from the Tele2 Arena, their results have not been great with just one victory, two draws and two defeats from five. Four of these matches have seen both teams find the back of the net with three of them going over 2.5 goals. The last five goals they have scored on the road have come from different players.
AIK are strong favourites to win this one given their home form but Hammarby are no mugs and will look to make like difficult for their Stockholm rivals. It is hard though to make a case for them to win given their struggles on the road.
Despite a wonderful defence for the home side I think the visitors are capable of netting here as they have some real attacking talent with three players having already netted four or more this season. Backing both teams to score looks the play. Speaking of goalscorers Muamer Tankovic looks too high and needs to be sided with in the anytime market as he has six for the season.
