Accrington vs Luton Town Match Preview
After outclassing the rivals in a 4-1 home win earlier this term, Luton Town travel to Accrington for their Matchday 43 clash on Saturday looking for a double over the rivals at a crucial time – with a five-point gap to the 2nd placed Barnsley to build on and just five games left to play.
Hatters have only seen their first league loss since October as Charlton Athletic (3-1) secured a comeback and a comfortable win in the end, where Harry Cornick opened the scoresheet but Addicks netted three in the second half. They’ve conceded two in a 2-2 draw against Blackpool beforehand too and Michael Harford surely has a lot on his mind.
Accrington, on the other hand, just ended a lengthy winless streak last week as they beat Walsall (2-1) with a brace from Ross Sykes, as the attacking line struggles to bring in any goals lately. They consequently sit just four points clear of the relegation zone and escaping could prove a tough task.
However, we’ve seen them tougher to beat at Wham Stadium and we feel John Coleman’s men will be very motivated to show off against the pace-setters as well. Still, they should be in for much more of a task this time around and we should now be in for an exciting occasion.
We feel Luton could have troubles recuperating quickly and with that in mind, we’re sticking our necks out for a Draw at Wham Stadium – which comes at 3/1 with bet365 and looks like a lively longshot at this point.
Luton have been scoring goals on the regular and Accrington will have to cope if they’re to snatch the points, which also has us going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with bet365. We’ve seen both scoring and conceding lately and this feels like a solid approach by itself too.
