AC Milan vs Udinese Match Preview
AC Milan host Udinese for their Tuesday’s clash with a two-match losing streak behind them, desperate to now return to the winning ways and build on a top 4 spot – with Lazio, Atalanta, and Roma all breathing down their necks in a thriller chase for the spots leading to Champions League next term.
Rossoneri have seen Inter (2-3) snatch the points in an underwhelming Derby della Madonnina performance and the weekend trip to Genoa started no better, as Gianluigi Donnarumma’s early error proved costly in a 1-0 loss to Sampdoria. Gennaro Gattuso now has a tough task to lift their team spirits and find a quick fix with a tough schedule.
Udinese have been very unpredictable this term and consequently sit three points clear of 18th placed Empoli who are in the relegation zone, only escaping with a 2-0 win over Genoa on Saturday. Stefano Okaka and Rolando Mandragora both find the net but their goalscoring has hardly been the problem recently, especially in front of the home fans.
Bianconeri have still seen a very poor streak on the road with losses to Sampdoria (4-0), Torino (1-0), Juventus (4-1), and Napoli (4-2) in four trips in 2019. They will now want to put an end to it and capitalize on Milan’s woes of recent – where they saw a ten-match unbeaten streak ended.
However, we feel AC Milan are still in a better place at this point and they come into the contest as heavy favourites for a reason, as we now go for a Home win at 1/2 with bet365. Udinese should prove no easy rivals to outclass once again but we do see Rossoneri edging past them.
We do expect a very narrow occasion with few goals, as Milan base their success on a defensive approach once again. We’ll thus also back the home side to keep a clean sheet at 17/20 with Paddy Power – which has caught a lot of attention with Udinese struggling for consistency.
