This is without a doubt the biggest game of the week in Italy, and perhaps the biggest anywhere in Europe as two old foes take each other on. Bragging rights are at stake, but also a very important three points after both teams have made a good start to proceedings in Serie A.
Inter come into this race on at the top of the table, with three nice wins from their first three games. This is a team that boasts attacking talent, but it is defensively where they have really excelled so far, conceding just one goal in those three opening games. They are the only team in the league left with a 100% record, and certainly won’t want to lose that against their arch rivals.
AC Milan were beaten on the opening day of the season but have since recorded two victories to climb the table. All three of the game they have been involved in so far have finished 1-0, so from the combined six games that these two have played, just two goals have been scored past these teams.
The way these two play, how good they have looked defensively and the extra edge of a local derby all points towards a low scoring game here. With Inter playing so well though, they could well nick this and we are going to back them to do so, keeping them at the top of the league table and handing them early bragging rights this season.
