Aberdeen vs Hearts Match Preview
Aberdeen outclassed Chikhura (5-0) in front of the home fans on Thursday as Sam Cosgrove bagged a hat-trick and Gregory Leigh and Scott Wright added one each, opening the new Premiership campaign in good spirits and hosting Hearts in hope they can build on such a performance.
Dons have thus extended a nine-match unbeaten streak and Europa League success will surely see them very motivated to keep it up, regardless of conceding on the regular as well. They’ve based such success on fine home performances and getting off on the right foot will be important for Derek McInnes and his men.
Hearts have seen somewhat of a mixed bag in League Cup through July but still topped their Group, with two wins and two draws as well as obvious struggles to keep it together at the back. They’ve conceded at least a goal in six of their last seven outings and this will feel more worrying.
Jam have struggled for consistency on the road just as much and haven’t managed a win at Pittodrie in years, which surely gives Aberdeen a lot to build on as well. Craig Levein hasn’t really been able to find a cure for their woes early on and we don’t feel they’re in for a great start of the league campaign either.
We will thus back Aberdeen to all three points and doing so at 10/11 with bet365 feels like great value, especially as they now have a history of beating Hearts at Pittodrie with last loss seen over three years ago.
We should be in for goals, though, and we hope to see them on both ends. With hope Aberdeen have what it takes to outgun the visitors and bag all three points on Sunday afternoon, we’re now also backing a Yes on Both teams to score at 27/25 with Unibet and hoping for an exciting occasion.
