2025 Women’s Euros Predictions

As anticipation builds for the tournament, fans and punters alike are going to be on the hunt for any shred of insight, which is why I’ve gone ahead and predicted the three major outcomes at the Women’s Euro 2025: the outright winner, the Golden Boot winner and the Player of the Tournament.

Women’s Euro 2025 Winner

It’s difficult to look beyond favourites Spain, especially coming relatively fresh off their World Cup triumph in 2023. However, La Roja are without a European crown in the Women’s game yet, and last year’s fourth-placed finish at the Olympics exposed vulnerabilities to this side.

That’s why France look like one to watch – despite major silverware eluding Les Bleues. They secured a podium finish at the last European Championship and come into this tournament with the most promising form of any major nation.

Women’s Euro 2025 Golden Boot Winner

England’s Beth Mead is chasing greatness after finishing as the joint-top scorer at the last tournament with Germany’s Alexandra Popp on six goals. She was also England’s standout player in their Euro-winning team of 2022, and given how she’s only four goals away from becoming the top scorer in European Championship history, it feels right to back her to achieve glory in Switzerland.

Women’s Euro 2025 Player of the Tournament

Spain’s Aitana Bonmati picked up the Golden Ball award at the 2023 Women’s World Cup for her role in Spain’s triumph, however, assuming that France win the tournament as projected above, I’m siding with Kadidiatou Diani Diani to help steer her team over the line and be recognised for her massive contribution considering that she’s still at the peak of her powers.

Women’s Euro 2025: Group Stage Predictions

Spain’s Aitana Bonmati picked up the Golden Ball award at the 2023 Women’s World Cup for her role in Spain’s triumph, however, assuming that France win the tournament as projected above, I’m siding with Kadidiatou Diani Diani to help steer her team over the line and be recognised for her massive contribution considering that she’s still at the peak of her powers.

Group A Predictions & Tips

We can safely count out Finland in the running for passage to the knockout phase as 20/1 outsiders to top Group A. Norway are favourites to win the group, however, I believe that hosts Switzerland can make full use of home advantage to secure 1st.

Group B Predictions & Tips

Spain shouldn’t run into any major problems in Group B, as no team is close to their level, especially in terms of firepower. This one looks fairly straightforward to predict, with Spain 1st and Italy 2nd likely to be the straight forecast on everybody’s sheets.

Group C Predictions & Tips

Group C doesn’t look or sound much different to its predecessor in that Germany, the odds-on favourites to finish top, are unlikely to encounter much competition here. I can confidently rule out Poland from causing any disruption, but it feels much harder to call the 2nd-placed team. Due to two recent results, particularly the 6-1 head-to-head mauling they inflicted, Sweden look the better proposition to qualify alongside Die Nationalelf.

Group D Predictions & Tips

England will face an immediate challenge in Group D as they and France battle it out to secure top spot. For many, it will be a coin toss as to who can pip the other to 1st, but in my thinking the slight advantage goes to Les Bleues, who are the more in-form team, and will likely edge the Lionesses out in a head-to-head contest on matchday 1.

Popular Women’s Euro Betting Markets

Punters have limited pre-tournament markets to browse in comparison to the men’s game, with betting limited to major markets, including the outright winner, each group winner, group ‘to qualify’, and name the finalists.

This will of course expand closer to the tournament’s start, and will ramp up considerably once proceedings have begun. For high-profile matches, particularly England fixtures, the expansion of match markets is expected to continue and bettors will have access to bet builders and player prop bets, which have often proven good value and successful avenues for punters to explore given the blossoming nature of women’s coverage from the major bookmakers.

It’s also worth highlighting that markets which prove popular with men’s game punters also transfers over to the women’s side, meaning that correct score, over/under 2.5 goals, both teams to score and accumulators are all worthy of your consideration if you’re searching for a winning bet.
