While you might look at Arsenal’s emphatic win and Newcastle’s close defeat and decide that this second leg might be sewn up before it’s begun, football maths has rarely added up this season.
How much will the Gunners put into this match being 2-0 down from the first leg? That’s not to say they’ll be ok with losing and missing out on a place in March’s final, however, in terms of priority, this comes at the bottom of the pecking order below the Premier League and Champions League.

The Swede has also found the net in his last two against Arsenal and has had the beating of centre backs Gabriel and Saliba in both of these contests.

Joelinton is a major doubt for this crunch second leg having come off with a knee injury at the weekend. Callum Wilson, however, is expected to return to the matchday squad after months on the sideline.
