Man City vs Real Madrid Tips

Tip 1

Kylian Mbappe has hit form at the right time for Madrid, scoring his ninth goal in the last seven games when netting the equaliser in Saturday’s Madrid derby.

The Frenchman has visited the Etihad three times, finding the net on two of those occasions and being an unused sub for the other game.

City’s defence looks prone to collapsing under the weight of Mbappe’s surging counter attacks and it’s likely he’ll add to his 23 goal tally in the famous white shirt on Tuesday.

Tip 2

Mateo Kovacic has been booked six times this season, seeing two yellows in his last five matches. The midfielder divides opinion among both the City fanbase and neutrals alike, but has been particularly struggling with City not being in their rhythm. He can’t control like Rodri, he can’t influence like Bernardo and he can’t create like KDB.

Bellingham sits on seven bookings – two of which have come in the UCL – and is in danger of being suspended for next week’s return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, however, he won’t let that possibility deter him from playing his usual game.

Kovacic is ex-Madrid, while Jude will want to have a big impact being back on home soil, giving this double an added bit of flavour.

Man City Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Despite going 1-0 down in their FA Cup 4th round tie away to Leyton Orient, City overturned that result to ensure that they’re still in contention for at least two different trophies this season.

Pep Guardiola suffered another injury setback over the weekend as new midfielder Nico Gonzalez was taken off during the first half of Saturday’s win. Oscar Bobb, Nathan Ake, Jeremy Doku, Rodri and Ederson all remain sidelined.

Man City Predicted XI: Ortega; Nunes, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Silva, Kovacic; Foden, De Bruyne, Savinho; Haaland.

Real Madrid Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Los Blancos had to settle for a share of the spoils in Saturday night’s Madrid derby, which helps them maintain a one point lead over Atletico in the La Liga standings.

Madrid also have an injury crisis of their own, with Lucas Vazquez joining Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao and David Alaba on the treatment table.

Real Madrid Predicted XI: Courtois; Valverde, Tchouameni, Asencio, Mendy; Camavinga, Modric; Rodrygo, Bellingham, Vinicius Junior; Mbappe.
