The Premier League is back this weekend and we’re adding to the excitement by bringing you our brand-new weekly feature by picking out five match bets to place on the televised games!

The Premier League season finally gets underway on Friday night as Liverpool take on Norwich City at Anfield and as if you weren’t excited enough about that, there are FIVE televised fixtures this weekend – and we’ve picked out a tip for each and every one of them so you can join us on betting through the weekend to get the campaign off to a profitable start!

How does it work?

We recommend opening up an account at Ladbrokes to follow our Bet Through The Weekend Tips. When you open an account, deposit and place a £5 bet, you get your hands on four more free £5 bets, so you can stake £5 on all our tips despite only depositing £5 to begin with! This offer is for new customers, 18+ only and terms and conditions do apply. Just follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Go to Ladbrokes via our link
  2. Open an account, deposit £5 and use it to back our first tip below
  3. You will then receive 4x£5 free bets – which you can use to back our other four tips!

Let’s go!

Bet One – Liverpool vs Norwich – Liverpool -2

Liverpool have a great record in the Premier League against Norwich. The Reds are unbeaten in their last twelve meetings with the Canaries, winning ten of those fixtures and winning six of them by a margin of more than one goal. In facing the attacking quality of players like Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, this could be a very difficult return to the top tier for Norwich and we anticipate a rather heavy defeat for Daniel Farke’s men.

Bet Two – West Ham vs Man City – Man City to score 4 or more

The second televised fixture of the weekend sees the reigning champions Manchester City head to the capital to take on West Ham United. The Citizens have loved playing at the London Stadium so far, scoring four times in all three of their visits to the ground in all competitions. What’s more, Pep Guardiola’s men put four past the Hammers in their meeting in this pre-season’s Asia Trophy. Back City to get among the goals again here.

Bet Three – Tottenham vs Aston Villa – Tottenham to win to nil

Aston Villa make their return to Premier League action on Saturday evening with their first trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Villains appear to lack a bit of firepower in attack at this level for our money, and they could struggle against one of the most settled, experienced backlines in the league including Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen. Spurs have kept four clean sheets in their seven competitive fixtures at their new home so far – we’re backing another one here in what’s likely to be a comfortable victory.

Bet Four – Newcastle vs Arsenal – Newcastle or Draw

Arsenal’s away form prevented them from chasing down Tottenham and Chelsea for a top four finish last term. The Gunners have managed just three wins in their last 13 Premier League away fixtures and they open the season with a long trip to the North East to take on Newcastle United. The Magpies begin a new era under Steve Bruce here, but they were difficult to beat at home at the end of last term, winning six of their final eight home games of the season.

Bet Five – Man Utd vs Chelsea – Draw

In what is surely the stand-out match of the weekend, Frank Lampard begins his reign as Chelsea manager with a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United. The pressure is on the Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too as the favourite to be the first Premier League manager to lose his job this term, so both managers are likely to be happy enough to settle for a draw here. It’s also worth nothing that both league meetings between these sides last term ended in ties.

Good luck!
