Everton vs Man United Tips

Tip 1

Despite the pair’s longer term struggles it appears as though their latest managerial appointments have seen them fork off in different directions – United’s trajectory has sunk further down, while Everton have turned a new leaf.

Under David Moyes, the Toffees have won four out of seven, losing just one of their last six and earning a dramatic point against league leaders Liverpool during this run.

On the flip side, Man U have lost nine of 21 with Ruben Amorim at the helm, and another flat performance last Sunday points to Everton taking the game to this wounded side, outgunning them in the middle of the park and providing a couple of moments of quality to take maximum points.

Tip 2

Beto is one individual to really take to the Moyes renewal at Goodison, netting in each of his last three. He’s scored four during this time, netting a brace against Leicester, as well as strikes versus Liverpool and Palace.

During this run, he’s let off nine efforts, six of which have found the target.

United’s defence have kept only two clean sheets in the last 18 outings – one of which came in the Europa League – and will struggle to contain the rejuvenated striker.

Fernandes might have only been brandished two yellows in the Prem this term, but he has, however, seen five in total across the campaign.

His chances of receiving another improve with his side’s prolonged struggles, as they do with him likely to feature as a centre midfield across a 3-4-3 system on Saturday.

He’ll be directly facing Idrissa Gueye, who has drawn 12 fouls over his last six matches and could be instrumental in helping Everton win this midfield battle.

Fernandes is also the type to fly off the handle when things aren’t going his way, which we are predicting to be the case in this match.

Everton Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

The Toffees continued their ascent since the return of David Moyes with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last Saturday evening, leapfrogging Saturday’s opponents into 14th.

The hosts have nine players ruled out: Orel Mangala, Dwight McNeil, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja, Youssef Chermiti, Seamus Coleman, Nathan Patterson and Iliman Ndiaye through injury, while Abdoulaye Doucoure remains suspended for his red card in the Merseyside derby.

Everton Predicted XI: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Garner, Gueye; Lindstrom, Alcaraz, Harrison; Beto.

Man United Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Another limp Manchester United performance against Tottenham last Sunday is likely to have further frustrated Ruben Amorim, although more considerable questions are now being asked of the Portuguese boss’ credentials in turning things around at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils could have as many as 11 absentees for their final trip to Goodison Park, as Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount, Altay Bayindir and Toby Collyer have all been ruled out, while Christian Eriksen and Leny Yoro should return from illness.

Man United Predicted XI: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro; Dalot, Fernandes, Eriksen, Dorgu; Zirkzee, Garnacho; Hojlund.
