Wolves v Brighton betting preview
Wolverhampton Wanderers' season has been a disappointing one. The summer decision to hire Italian boss Walter Zenga was an unsuccessful one and he was replaced by ex-Norwich City and Aston Villa man Paul Lambert in November and although the Scottish boss has steadied the ship somewhat, a bottom half finish looks likely at this stage.
Things could've been so much worse for the Midlands outfit though as at one point they were in real danger of relegation, before a six game winning streak saw the men in gold lift themselves away from the danger of the bottom three. That run ended with a defeat at Bristol City last week, can Wolves bounce back with three points here at 21/10 with William Hill
Brighton & Hove Albion on the other hand are on course to secure their first ever promotion to the Premier League this season. The Seagulls have been terrific all season long and they currently sit two points clear of Newcastle United at the top of the table and perhaps more importantly, twelve points clear of Huddersfield Town in third.
Given that the Terriers have one game in hand, Chris Hughton's men can't mathematically confirm their promotion this weekend but from this position it would be almost impossible for them to drop out of the top two, so focus switches to the title race. Can they earn a vital away win here at 7/5 with Ladbrokes
to take a step towards getting their hands on the trophy?
Wolves have looked stronger going forward in the last few weeks, with the likes of Nouha Dicko and Helder Costa in better form. Lambert's men have found the net at least once in each of their last six games. We think Brighton have the quality and motivation to earn all three points here, but we expect the hosts to get on the scoresheet. The match result and both teams to score bet is priced at 4/1 with BetVictor
Glenn Murray has led the line brilliantly for Brighton and Hove Albion this season. After returning to the club in the summer, Murray has been in terrific goalscoring form all season long, racking up no fewer than 21 league goals to help fire his side to promotion. He could make it four goals in four consecutive games here at odds of 13/8 with bet365Recommended bets:
