Had they not already been aware of it, many West Brom fans will now be accepting relegation as their inevitable fate after losing 1-0 away to Watford last weekend. Ironically, it was a man who they tried to sign in January, Troy Deeney, who scored the only goal of the game, as the Baggies made it six consecutive defeats under Alan Pardew.

Pardew was brought in with the hope of having an instant impact and freshen up the stale play under Tony Pulis, but the former Crystal Palace, Newcastle and West Ham boss has managed to secure just one Premier League win so far. Winning just twice at home all season, it has been a nightmare of a campaign for West Brom supporters, who saw their team start the season so positively by winning each of their first two league games.

Leicester still have something to play for this season, with the potential still being there that the team who finishes 7th will earn a place in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League, should the FA Cup winner be a top-six side. Claude Puel’s men were far from their best against Bournemouth last weekend, but showed great fight to eventually come out with a point when Riyad Mahrez scored a 97th minute equaliser to snatch a late draw.

However, it’s still no wins in five for Leicester in the Premier League, who have drawn their last three home games 1-1 with Swansea, Stoke and Bournemouth, thus missing out on the chance to overtake Burnley in 7th. The Foxes will need to improve away from home if they hope to finish in a possible Europa League place, failing to win in their last five, though they have faced the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City in that time.

West Brom have loathed facing Leicester and, in particular, Jamie Vardy at the Hawthorns in recent years, with the Foxes winning in all three of their visits since returning to the Premier League - with Vardy scoring in each of those victories.
