Kilmarnock vs Aberdeen betting tips
Aberdeen dished out a 7-2 drubbing to Motherwell on Wednesday and should enjoy another comfortable success when they visit Kilmarnock.
The Dons have won eight of their last nine matches, the exception being a 1-0 defeat away to runaway 24-point league leaders and champions Celtic, and Adam Rooney bagged a hat-trick in the demolition of Motherwell at Pittodrie to take his goals tally for the season to 15.
Of course, there is only the Scottish Cup, in which they host Partick Thistle in the quarter-finals, and second place in the Premiership left for Aberdeen to play for this term, and in terms of the latter target they go into this weekend with a three-point advantage over Rangers.
Inevitably, Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has been linked with the Rangers job following Mark Warburton’s departure, but even if the Old Firm club did decide he was their No 1 choice as their next boss nothing is likely to happen before the summer.

As for Kilmarnock, they are enjoying a better-than-expected campaign because they contested the relegation play-off last season but are currently in sixth position, albeit only seven points off the bottom of the table.
Lee Clark has had a difficult job in charge of Killie but has made them tougher to beat away from home especially, and a victory and two draws from their last three matches will give them some hope of turning over Aberdeen despite their poor head-to-head record (see stats below).
But there is clearly a big difference between the quality of these two sides and Aberdeen’s excellent form means they are highly likely to win this match. After trouncing Motherwell, they will be oozing confidence in attack especially and we are happy to back the visitors to prevail with something to spare.
