Dundee vs Rangers betting tips
Rangers have been in the news for mostly the wrong reasons over the last week, but should make more positive headlines by recording a victory away to Dundee.
Mark Warburton’s departure as manager has become increasingly bizarre, with the Englishman and the club at odds over whether he and his right-hand men David Weir and Frank McParland had resigned – they claim they did not, Rangers say the opposite.
But in terms of what happens on the pitch, caretaker manager Graeme Murty, who spent 11 years playing for Reading mostly as a right-back, is expected to make it two wins out of two since he was unexpectedly elevated into the hotseat from his usual role as head coach of the Rangers development squad.
With very little notice, 42-year-old Murty had to take charge for the Scottish Cup tie at home to Morton last weekend and presided over a 2-1 victory in which Kenny Miller and Martyn Waghorn turned the tie around for the Gers after they had conceded an early goal.

Now the aim is, at the very worst, to stay within three points of Aberdeen in the chase for second position in the table behind 24-point leaders Celtic, with the Dons playing away to Kilmarnock in the match that immediately precedes this one.
Dundee, meanwhile, are in mid-table and part of a cluster of six teams separated by just four points, one of whom will face a relegation play-off and perhaps even be demoted anyway if Inverness can stage a rally towards the end of the campaign.
Although Paul Hartley’s side have a strong recent home record (see the stats section below) Rangers are expected to be too good for them and there could be some value in backing the Glasgow club to prevail with something to spare.
