Burnley vs Lincoln City betting tips
Lincoln City aim to extend their fantastic FA Cup run when they visit Premier League club Burnley but while they are expected to perform with plenty of credit, this should be the end of the road.
The National League leaders are looking good to return to the Football League itself next season after an absence of six years, and the impact made by the management team of brothers Danny and Nicky Cowley, who joined the club from Braintree Town last summer, cannot be underestimated.
The Red Imps have compiled a terrific sequence of results since late October and have taken the FA Cup scalps of Oldham Athletic, Ipswich Town and Brighton to become one of two non-League clubs to reach the last 16, ensuring the competition’s magic remains alive.
A trip to Burnley would not have been the draw of choice for Lincoln, whose divisional rivals Sutton United got a dream tie at home to Arsenal, but at least it gives them a chance to test themselves against top-flight opposition having knocked out two clubs from the Championship.

The problem for the underdogs is that Burnley are extremely strong at home and that was shown again when they held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw last weekend, which means 29 of their 30 points this season have been collected on their own pitch.
And that form is not just limited to the league because Turf Moor was also the scene of the Clarets’ FA Cup victories over Sunderland (replay) and Bristol City, and they have yet to concede a goal in the competition.
That could change because Lincoln score plenty and will obviously have a real go, but Sean Dyche’s side will fancy going to Wembley for the semi-finals at least if the draw opens up for them and this should be another big step along that trail.
