Bournemouth vs Middlesbrough betting tips
Middlesbrough look increasingly certain to be relegated this season and while they could claim a point at Bournemouth, it would not be enough of a help in their battle against the drop.
The Teessiders now face an extremely difficult task to save themselves from going straight back down to the Championship, six points from safety although with a game in hand, and they simply have to win on Saturday for the first time in the Premier League this side of Christmas.
If Boro could triumph on the south coast, it would potentially drag Bournemouth into the dogfight and at the same time give Hull City and Swansea City another target to aim at in their respective quests to stay up.
But Steve Agnew’s side cannot be fancied to end their depressing sequence of results with a victory, although a low-scoring draw should not be beyond their capabilities considering only Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea have conceded fewer goals away from home.

There certainly looks to be no value in backing Bournemouth at odds-on, even though their record at the Vitality Stadium is pretty good. And the Cherries have only tumbled down the table in the last few weeks due to a very tough run of fixtures, losing comfortably to Chelsea and Tottenham but previously drawing away to Southampton and Liverpool.
This is the sort of game Eddie Howe’s side tend to win because they beat West Ham and Swansea back-to-back at home in mid-March, although both of those teams are easier to score goals against than Middlesbrough have proven to be this term.
From Bournemouth’s perspective, motivation at this late stage of the season could depend upon how many points they think they need to be safe.
Middlesbrough need all the points they can get, however, and while one could come their way from this fixture it is highly unlikely to make a big difference in their attempt to avoid an immediate return to the second tier.
