Arsenal have a number of talented players in their squad and the change of manager could well be the motivation needed to spark this team into life. It appears Unai Emery will be the man to take over from Arsene Wenger and certainly has big shoes to fill -- and not quite the transfer budget to match.

With another Europa League campaign to come they will need a big squad once again this season and should be looking to add a new goalkeeper, with Jack Butland available at a cut price following Stoke’s relegation to the Championship. Petr Cech made one too many mistakes last term and could depart the Emirates in the summer.

Elsewhere, Polish international Kamil Glik is reportedly looking to leave Monaco this summer and Arsenal should be one of the sides looking to secure his signature, particularly after Laurent Koscielny’s injury.

Steven N’Zonzi reportedly came close to joining Arsenal in January and could be the answer to their lack of a top defensive midfielder. N'Zonzi worked with Emery in his time at Sevilla and the Spaniard was crucial in the rangy midfielder's development into the player he has now become. They should also be looking to do all they can to get Wilfried Zaha through the door. Zaha showed his match-winning quality at Palace this season and would inject yet more pace into this attacking side.

Per Mertesacker has now retired, while Lucas Perez is unlikely to return to the fold following his loan spell and the signings of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the time since he left.
