Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur predictions for their Premier League match on Saturday November 18. This lunchtime North London derby is the first English top-flight game after the international break. Read on for our free predictions and betting tips.

Arsenal have won their last nine Premier League home matches but their fierce North London rivals look capable of denying them the perfect 10.

Since they drew 2-2 with Manchester City at the start of April, the Gunners have enjoyed an unblemished record at the Emirates Stadium in the league and had made it 11 straight victories in all competitions until they recently drew with Norwich City and Red Star Belgrade in the Carabao Cup and Europa League respectively.

On those occasions, however, Arsenal won the wars if not the battles as they still qualified for the next round of those competitions, so are still very much alive on all four fronts this season.

But for the second time this term, Arsene Wenger’s side entered the international break on the back of an emphatic defeat in the North West, having to stew over a 3-1 loss at Manchester City which was not quite as harrowing as their 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at the end of August.

They could really do with lifting morale by beating their biggest rivals, sixth-placed Arsenal being four points behind Tottenham in third and already starting to look as though it might be Europa League football for them again next season if they do not go on and win that competition.

Spurs continue to look the stronger of this duo generally and that is borne out by their recent 3-1 Champions League triumph against Real Madrid, while the only time they have failed to win away from home in the Premier League was when beaten 1-0 at Manchester United.

Harry Kane will be fit despite missing England’s friendly matches against Germany and Brazil and has scored six goals in his five North London derby appearances in the league, but Arsenal have been rock-solid at home over the last seven months and their unbeaten run on their own pitch looks set to continue.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur stats

  • The last three North London derbies at the Emirates Stadium have all finished 1-1
  • Tottenham have not won any of their last seven matches away to Arsenal
  • Spurs have the joint best defensive record away from home in the Premier League this season
