AFC Bournemouth v Brighton & Hove Albion Premier League predictions, betting tips and match preview. After a dreadful start to the new campaign, the Cherries will be hoping to finally get their first points on the board with a win on Friday night.

  • Bournemouth have lost their first four matches of the Premier League season
  • Brighton meanwhile have lost two, drawn one and one won of their first four
  • The Cherries are unbeaten in their last six league matches against the Seagulls

Bournemouth v Brighton betting preview

Bournemouth's progression in the Premier League and stability over the last two seasons will provide something of a blueprint for Chris Hughton and Brighton following their promotion from the Championship last season. The Cherries have only briefly flirted with the relegation zone over the last two campaigns and they've looked more and more comfortable in the top tier as time has passed.

Their start to this new term however has been something of a disaster. Eddie Howe's men have gone down in four defeats in their first four games and although nobody will have expected the Dorset club to take anything from Manchester City or Arsenal, the losses to Watford and West Bromwich Albion are worrying. With the home advantage, they remain favourites for the three points here though at 23/20 with Coral.

Brighton & Hove Albion will be happy with their start to life in the Premier League, particularly after the weekend. For a club that relatively recently came very close to going out of business altogether to now reach the promised land of the English top tier is some achievement, but the South Coast club aren't there to make up the numbers and they'll be determined to stave off relegation at the very least this term.

After back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Leicester City in the opening two games of the season, the Seagulls have turned in two improved performances in their last two matches versus Watford and West Bromwich Albion to pick up four points, with Saturday's home win over the Baggies particularly impressive. Can they earn a first ever away win in the Premier League on Friday at 13/5 with Ladbrokes?

We aren't anticipating too many goals in this game as both of these sides have struggled at times in front of goal in the early stages of this new campaign. Bournemouth have managed just a solitary goal in their opening four matches whilst Brighton hadn't managed to find the net at all until last weekend's win over Tony Pulis' side at the Amex Stadium. Under 2.5 goals looks like an 8/11 banker for us with BetVictor.

With the home advantage on Friday night though, the onus is on Bournemouth to get their first points on the board and we're expecting them to do just that. Brighton are bound to find things tougher on the road than they are at the Amex and on paper, this Cherries squad is the stronger of the two. Eddie Howe will have his side focused on picking up the three points and we can see them scraping to a 1-0 victory at 13/2 with bet365.

Recommended bets:
Under 2.5 goals @ 8/11 with BetVictor
Bournemouth to win 1-0 @ 13/2 with bet365
