William Hill #YourOdds: How to request a price for any football bet

Ever been watching a match and thought ‘wow, I wonder what the odds for that would have been’? Well, wonder no more – because now you can request a price for just about anything to happen!

The online bookmakers have been cottoning on to the fact that us punters like to have some control over what we bet on, rather than having to trawl through a long list of options which generally don’t get the pulse racing.

You can now ask the layers to quote odds for just about any eventuality on a football match, however complicated. All you need to do is tweet them @williamhill and they will get right on the case for you.

With William Hill, the service is called #YourOdds and allows you to request your own markets. It can be a combination of just about anything that the bookies usually lay bets on for a football match – the result, goals, scorers, corners and cards.

For example, you might want a price for your team to win the match 2-0 and the first goal to be scored by a Brazilian with his left foot. Okay, that’s a little bit extreme but you get the gist.

Usually, the #YourOdds bets will be something along the lines of each team to have a corner in the first half, over 1.5 goals and both teams to score, but you can make it as convoluted – and consequentially rewarding if it comes in – as you like. For instance, the odds could be anywhere between 9/4 and 900/1.

Each request will go to the bookmakers’ football traders and if they can price it up, then by and large they will.

If they can, they will let you know and the new market will appear on the website under the #YourOdds section for that specific match.

New William Hill online customers only. Min. unit stake of £10/€10 at odds of 1/2 or greater. Only the “win” part from EW bets will count. Free bet terms, payment method & country restrictions apply. Free bets credited as 3 x £10/€10. Free bet stakes are not returned as part of the settlement of successful free bets. All Free Bets must be wagered within 30 days.

What is #YourOdds?

If you have heard of Skybet's #RequestABet, you'll get the idea. Basically, you have a chance to request special markets from William Hill. You can contact them using #YourOdds on Twitter with your request and their traders will assess and possibly put it in the #YourOdds section of the site.

On their website, William Hill states: "We will try to price up as many as possible, but there is no guarantee every one will be priced. Any #YourOdds requests that come through the other customer service channels will not be accepted. They must be asked for via Twitter only as explained above."
