Celtic vs Kilmarnock betting tips

Kilmarnock take the Scottish Premiership’s best away record this season to Parkhead to face a Celtic side who have failed to beat them in their last four meetings.

Comfortably the most improved team in the top flight north of the border over the last 12 months or so, Killie are the only club this term to have suffered only one Premiership defeat on their travels.

It came at Hibernian in September by just a 3-2 margin, and the results on the road contribute to the great credit deserved by manager Steve Clarke for the way he has lifted Kilmarnock into being one of Scotland’s best teams since his appointment in October 2017.

They have also proved to be a thorn in Celtic’s side, recording two Rugby Park victories over the champions during 2018 and also drawing twice in Glasgow last season to underline further how effective they are on the road.

The main reason for Killie’s excellent away form is how tight they keep things defensively and that will be an important attribute against Brendan Rodgers’ men, who have picked up impressively after a sluggish start to the season by their lofty standards.

Celtic are expected to win this game, but not by anything like a landslide scoreline and the likelihood is that goals will be at a premium between two teams who are solid at the back.
