Toronto FC vs. Chicago Fire Betting Tips
Chicago Fire travel to Toronto for their Matchday 7 clash on the back of a couple of fine home performances and results, hoping to build on it and extend their winning streak to three. After holding Montreal Impact to a 2-2 draw, they’ve bagged home wins over Columbus Crew (1-0) and New England (3-0) but their form away from home hasn’t been as near as promising and we don’t feel they’ll now have what it takes to snatch the points at BMO Field.
Toronto haven’t had the best start of the campaign and we’ve seen them earn just seven points in six matches, but just two of those were in front of their home fans (0-0 draw to Sporting KC and a 2-2 draw to Atlanta). Sitting just 9th at this point, they’ll now come into the match in desperate need for points and we’ll back them to win at 3/5 with bet365
The Reds have suffered their first loss at Columbus Crew last week (2-1), which could be a positive shock for Greg Vanney’s men and we now expect them to bounce back. With Chicago Fire’s struggles on the road, this should be a great chance for them to return to the winning ways and catch up with the top of the table.
Both sides have been scoring and conceding a lot of goals recently, and we expect another thrilling matchup on the day. Two of their respective last three outings have ended with three or more goals total and we’ll now go for Over 2.5 goals FT too at 7/10 with BetVictor
Toronto FC vs. Chicago Fire Stats
Chicago Fire have earned a convincing 4-1 win at Suncoast Invitational tournament in Florida earlier this year, but Toronto have a four-match winning streak over their rivals in MLS going back to April 2015. Four of the last five head-to-head encounters have ended with three or more goals scored, which does promise a great occasion here too.
We feel the home side will be able to return to their streak, though, and we’ll go for a 2-1 home win in the correct score market now backing the lively longshot prediction at 15/2 with William Hill
