Mali's forward Moussa Doumbia (R) challenges Uganda's forward Farouk Miya during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations group D football match between Uganda and Mali in Oyem on January 25, 2017.

Kenya vs. Uganda predictions for Thursday’s Friendly clash at Nyayo National Stadium. Harambee Stars look to start off on the right foot in 2017 and earn their first win in Nairobi. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Uganda will travel to Kenya for their friendly clash on Thursday getting ready for the June AFCON qualifiers and hoping to return to the winning ways after a distraught Africa Cup of Nations final tournament in January. However, with their poor spell of form, especially on the road, we don’t see them taking away anything from this fixture and we’ll go for a home win at 2/1 with bet365.

This will be the first match for Harambee Stars in 2017 but they come into the match on the back of three consecutive wins in October and November 2016 and we do feel they’ll now be confident to bag a home win over tough rivals. They have suffered just one loss there in 2016 (0-1 to Guinea-Bissau), earning three wins and two draws in the process.

‎The visitors, on the other hand, have qualified for the final AFCON tournament earlier this year but we’ve seen a poor campaign and we’ve seen them earn just one draw in three outings in Gabon. They have had troubles on the road throughout the last year as well, and seeing they’ve earned just two wins in 11 away games certainly doesn’t do wonders for the morale.

With Kenya focus on defending and keeping their goal intact, rather than employing an all-out attack approach to their fixture and playing for an extra goal, we expect a narrow contest here too and we’ll go for Under 2.5 goals FT at 1/2 with BetVictor.

Kenya vs. Uganda Stats

Harambee Stars have earned a 2-0 win over Uganda in Addis Abeba in November 2015, as well as a goalless draw in Uganda in August 2016. With the visitors’ current spell of form, we don’t expect they can return to their fine streak in their head-to-head encounters (four wins and three draws in eight games) over the past years.

We’ll go for a 1-0 home win this time around, backing the correct score prediction at 9/1 with Ladbrokes which does look a lively longshot at this point.

Recommended Bets:

Home win at 2/1 with bet365

Under 2.5 goals FT at 1/2 with BetVictor
