Promotions

If you're brand new to Betsafe then you can earn yourself a £30 betting bonus. This offer is available for new customers only and there's a minimum £10 deposit. Whatever you deposit above that limit, the Betsafe sports book will add the same amount as bonus money.

Your bonus money remains 'locked' until you complete wagering requirements, which are six times the total deposit AND bonus amount amount. Only wagers made with odds of 4/5 (1.80) or greater qualify for your wagering expectations, and you must complete your wagering within thirty days of your bonus being awarded. System bets do not qualify for expectations either.

The bonus offer is not open to players from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Austria.

Also, if you make your initial deposit via Skrill or Neteller, then you will not receive your free cash. There are a few more T&Cs you need to be aware of, so make sure you read up on them at the site.

There was only one other promotion we could find at the Betsafe site and involved one of the companies promotional partners – the EPL side Manchester City. Every time you bet at least £25 pre-match on the team in sky blue (or any Premier League game at odds of 1/2 (1.50) or greater), you'd also receive a £10 in-play bonus bet that you can only use in-play on Manchester City at odds of 1/2 (1.50) or greater. If your in-play bet loses then you receive a £10 bonus bet instead. Both your bonus bet and your in-play bet do not return your stake if you win.

Betsafe allows both cash-out and in-play betting

Site design

Betsafe has chosen a pleasing colour scheme – grey, black and red. It's easy on the eye and works extremely well. The promotional banner ads are kept to a minimum too, which is something that's always pleasing to see.

The downside to the site is that it is a bit numbers-heavy. This is great for the experienced sports bettors, but for newbies it can be a little overwhelming until they become accustomed to it.

You can quickly switch to Betsafe's other gambling concerns – casino and poker – via the top menu at the site. This is helpful if the current betting options available at the site are not too appealing to you.

Cashier options

Betsafe naturally accepts Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, along with the virtual credit card provider Entropay. It also accepts Skrill, Neteller, Citadel, Trustly and iDeal.

The minimum deposit you can make is £10 (eWallets) or £15 (credit and debit cards). Please note that some fees may be involved with credit and debit card transactions under €50. All deposits should be processed almost instantaneously.

You can withdraw via the same methods, aside from MasterCard. Withdrawals take from a day or so for eWallets, to three to five days for credit and debit cards. The minimum withdrawals you can make are £20 (credit and debit cards) and £25 (eWallets).

Conclusion

There's no doubting that Betsafe is a pretty slick affair. It is tailored towards the established sports-betting fan as opposed to the newbie, but once you've made a few bets you should feel right at home.

Our only disappointment was the lack of promotions, and that horse racing is not covered. For a sports betting site not to allow betting on horse racing is a real shame.

Still, if horses are not your thing, and you're not particularly bothered about offers and promos, then you'll probably find Betsafe suits you down to the ground.
