Stansfield has scored 17 in 25 since making the switch from Fulham to Birmingham City this season, with 14 of those coming in League 1 and a further three being scored in the League Cup to build on last season’s tally of 12 with the then Championship club.

The 22 year old has already scored this week after providing his side with the match winner on Tuesday to continue a very healthy 0.67 goals per game average this term.

Tuesday’s strike sees him having bagged three in his last two after a brace against Rotherham last time out on league duty.

Newcastle have just three clean sheets from their last eight games and with 10 of his current tally being scored at St Andrew’s, the centre forward will be keen to bolster his numbers.

Alexander Isak boasts an impressive 19 goals in 27 this campaign and is likely to get the nod to spearhead Newcastle’s attack once again with little depth in that particular area.

Looking to contain him will be Christoph Klarer, who has picked up seven yellows across 33 matches for Birmingham this season.

The Austrian defender has committed at least one foul in each of his last 10 league outings and has given away a team-leading 34 fouls in L1.

Isak’s willingness to engage with physical defenders should make this a battle to watch and we expect him to show his class against the right-sided centre half.
