Arsenal vs Chelsea Tips

Tip 1

These two played out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge previously back in November and there isn’t much of a convincing claim for either one to snatch maximum points in Sunday’s contest.

Arsenal still have question marks over their attack without a recognised striker and draws with United, Forest and the home defeat to West Ham – all of which fell under this goals line – has established a further gap between themselves and Liverpool in their title challenge.

In fact, six of the Gunners’ 10 PL matches in 2025 have seen two or fewer goals and although Chelsea still have a number of injuries to contend with, they should play things a lot more conservatively in North London.

Tip 2

Current form aside, there shouldn’t be four players shorter than Cole Palmer to find the net on Sunday, especially since two of those are Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling for the opposition.

Palmer is stuck in a bit of a rut, however, he’s still a live threat for Chelsea, having bagged 14 goals this season – all of which have come in the league.

Six of his strikes have come away from Stamford Bridge this season and with no clean sheet in four at home, Chelsea are likely to breach David Raya’s goal at least once.

There are arguments that Chelsea would be worse off with Moises Caicedo out of the side than they would without the services of Cole Palmer.

The midfield maestro is instrumental for the Blues and his battle against Rice, Partey and Odegaard will be crucial to achieving any success against Mikel Arteta’s side.

He’s picked up 10 yellows so far, with one of these coming in the FA Cup and the other nine in the Premier League; five of which have been brandished in his last seven.

Arsenal Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

The Gunners booked themselves a Champions League quarter-final dance with Real Madrid following Wednesday’s second leg 2-2 draw with PSV – three days on from their disappointing stalemate with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Mikel Arteta remains without long-term absentees Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Takehiro Tomiyasu all through injury.

Arsenal Predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Nwaneri, Merino, Trossard.

Chelsea Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Enzo Maresca’s side have won three straight matches since tasting defeat at Villa Park a few weeks ago, most recently edging out Leicester City at Stamford Bridge last Sunday.

The Blues have as many as eight absentees for the trip to the Emirates on Sunday, with David Fofana, Omari Kellyman, Romeo Lavia, Reece James, Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu, Noni Madueke and Aaron Anselmino all unavailable for selection.

Chelsea Predicted XI: Sanchez; Fofana, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku; Neto.
